Any other single bloggers out there?

It seems like everyone in the blogosphere is either in a relationship or married. Am I the only the single one out there? How many of you are single? Are you happy? I’m happy being single right now. Things are sort of up in there air for me at the moment as far as where I’ll be in a couple of months.

I’m trying to find a job/fellowship/service project, etc. – something that’ll be able to keep me here in my college town and live with my BFF/roommate (*keeping my fingers crossed*). But if I can’t find anything by the time my lease is up at the end of this summer, I’ll have to move back home with the parents. :/

The point is that I don’t want a relationship right now because of the uncertainty of my future whereabouts. Job status aside, though, I’m also happy being single/playing the field/meeting new people. Now that college is over and a lot of my friends are leaving/already gone, my main focus socially is just to expand my circle a little bit and make new friends. If I meet someone I like, great. If not, that’s fine too.

What’s your relationship status? Do you like where you’re at?

Greetings! I've been following you for a couple of weeks but this is my first comment! I'm single and happy! Although I'm on a couple of dating websites I don't really have much free time and to be honest I am happy just pootling along at my own speed doing my own thing. I definitely do not need a boy to feel good about myself or my life :-) And lets face it, early twenties are about having fun, growing up and discovering life! You don't really want to be married with babies, you've got an entire lifetime for that!

I'm not single anymore, and I am very happy in my relationship, but I was single and enjoyed it immensely for a long time. While I traveled and worked odd jobs a relationship would not have been practical, nor did I want one. You are young. If you like being single enjoy it. Good luck finding a job/fellowship/service project.

I am a single blogger as well! I really like not having any commitments, I like being responsible for myself and myself only. I've always been the independent type and I figure when it's right, it's right. A lot of my friends are getting engaged and married, but that's also because of the area that I live in. 22 is way too young for that type of commitment IMO so I'll just have fun before it happens!

I'm single! It really does seem like everyone in the blogosphere is married or engaged, but I like being single. I'm jobhunting too, and it's nice to know that I could go anywhere I like without having to worry about either dragging someone with me or going long distance.

I have a boyfriend and I am really happy. I went through my fair share of horrible relationships before finding him and it feels great to have someone in my life that I know I can always count on. We started off as long distance because he went to school in PA, but he is now in NY for work.

True story, fellow single-ites. Best to enjoy your youth while you can. And thanks Andrew! By no means am I saying I'm not open to a relationship, though, or knocking anyone who's in one. It's just not the best time for me right now. Being in love is awesome and I'm glad you're happy Andrew and Sylvia. :)

im always happy with whatever state im at :)

well, i think that would be maybe a lie.

but i guess the correct wording for that is i am able to accept it eventually.

not that i dont like having a boyfriend now. and im pretty sure he's going to be my last... :) we've been together for almost 3 yrs already and we got together within 5 days since i met him

i guess it just felt i knew him so much already, probably because he's made for me? :))

gone were the days that I would be flirting freely with any guy i had a crush on. it was lonely being alone but it was fun to! being independent and all. :)

of course there were days i wished i had a boyfriend.. but i practically grew up without even having a relationship not until was in college. so i guess, its fun to be single too!

im in a longdistance relationship so when im back in manila i have to admit i sometimes feel that i am single :/ :)) and yes its fun.

I am also a single blogger!

Mostly for the same reasons as you too, I have moved home again after not finding a suitable job in my university city, and must say I love being able to do whatever I want whenever I want to!

If I met someone I liked tomorrow, then great, I'd always see where things went (what do you have to lose?! And you never know - it may be perfect!) but I'm not actively looking for a relationship at the mo...

I am and always have been single. For some reason guys like hanging out with me but always seem to fall for my best friend. It's kind of awkward.

So, I'm learning to be content with being single. I truly struggle with it at times though, because I would love to have a family. I'm learning that certain things are out of my control though, and that for now, I'm single, so I need to enjoy it and embrace it. Someday I hope to NOT be single, and when that day comes, I'll enjoy and embrace that.

Yay, more single bloggers! I was beginning to think the same thing...am I really the only one not married?!

I'm happy...not that I don't want to get married, but until I meet the right guy, I'm fine. I like where I am.
